TCA Field Days
Informative seminars covering topics of interest to our membership including veterinary care for cattle, feeding and nutrition, breeding topics, and livestock identification and transportation laws.
Spring and Fall
Dinner/Dance Events
Major source of fundraising for the association. Dinners include raffles, auctions, music and announcements of Cattleman of the year and Top Hand Award in the Fall.
Representation
At the State and Federal level on issues that affect us locally.
Political Support
Local issues affecting agriculture, Right to Farm Ordinance, livestock Ownership/Production, Water Issues, etc.
TCA SUPPORTS YOUTH IN AGRICULTURE
College Scholarship Program
For students majoring in an agriculture related field.
County Fair Support
Through awards programs and membership volunteer assistance during the fairs.
Carcass Contest
For all three area fairs - Placer County, Nevada County, and Gold Country. The Carcass Contest rewards our 4-H, FFA and Independent market steer exhibitors with premium money for both Carcass of Merit and Gold Seal Carcass qualifying steers and an award for Carcass Champion at each fair. Along with an informative program educating exhibitors on the economic value of the carcass data.
TCA Classic Steer and Heifer Show
now held in early-December.
